Social impact is core to the LifeStraw DNA
LifeStraw’s commitment to responsibility is reflected in every part of the business

Officially Climate Neutral Certified
LifeStraw is committed to playing it’s part in helping to reduce global emissions.
Being Climate Neutral Certified means that LifeStraw have measured all of the greenhouse gas emissions from producing and delivering their products. Those emissions have then been offset by investing in carbon reduction and removal projects like clean energy and reforestation. They are also implementing plans to reduce future emissions.
Officially Certified B Corporation
LifeStraw has been judged to meet the highest standards of verified social and environmental performance, public transparency, and legal accountability to balance profit and purpose.
Society’s most challenging problems cannot be solved by government and nonprofits alone. The B Corp community works toward reduced inequality, lower levels of poverty, a healthier environment, stronger communities and better jobs. By harnessing the power of business, B Corps use profits and growth as a means to a greater end: positive impact for their employees, communities, and the environment.

Your Purchase Has Impact
Today, LifeStraw customers help provide a lasting impact. For every product purchased, a school child receives safe water for an entire school year. Unlike many other companies, LifeStraw implements this program directly.
Donate Safe Water
With the support of LifeStraw customers, LifeStraw is also active in responding to global disasters and safe water crises. LifeStraw’s 501c3 Safe Water Fund enables rapid disaster response in places that span from Puerto Rico to Indonesia. It also supports ongoing school and community programs in places like Kenya, India and Haiti.

Responsibility
Guinea worm eradication
The LifeStraw originated as a simple pipe filter to assist with the eradication of Guinea Worm disease. Since 1994, LifeStraw has donated over 37 million LifeStraw Guinea Worm filters towards eradication efforts. When Guinea Worm is eradicated, it will be the first disease to be removed from the planet without the use of a vaccine.
